How do I find out if my plan covers ABA therapy?

Call us at (786) 238-5931 and we will verify your benefits with you over the phone. We ask for the member name, the date of birth, and the member ID on the front of the insurance card, then we contact the plan directly to confirm whether ABA therapy is a covered benefit, whether prior authorization is required, and what the plan needs from you before services can begin. You can also call the member services number printed on the back of your card and ask whether applied behavior analysis is covered for your child.

What if I do not see my plan listed?

Call us at (786) 238-5931 before you assume you are not covered. Plan networks change, and a plan that is not on this page today may still be one we can bill or one we are able to work with through your Medicaid coverage. We will tell you honestly what we find, including when the answer is that we cannot bill your plan.

Do you accept Florida Medicaid?

Yes. Permuy Diversity Intervention LLC is a Florida Medicaid provider, and Florida Medicaid covers ABA therapy for children and youth under 21 when it is medically necessary. What is the difference between Medicaid and a commercial plan for ABA coverage?

Medicaid covers ABA therapy for members under 21 as a medically necessary service under the federal EPSDT benefit, so the coverage rules are set at the program level and are the same across the plans that administer it. A commercial plan writes its own benefit language, so coverage, authorization rules, visit limits, and your share of the cost depend on the specific policy your employer or your family bought. In practice that means Medicaid families ask whether the service is medically necessary, while commercial families also need to read the plan document. Either way, we verify the details with the plan before we start.
