North Miami Beach, North Miami & Aventura

ABA Therapy in North Miami Beach & Aventura

Near the bay in northeast Miami-Dade, a lot of families live in condos and apartments, and some speak Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Portuguese at home. Our therapists meet your child where everyday routines happen and work in English or Spanish, keeping the plan practical for the space you have.

Northeast Miami-Dade areas we cover

Sessions reach homes between I-95 and the Intracoastal, from North Miami up to the Broward line.

  • North Miami Beach (33160, 33162, 33179)
  • North Miami and Biscayne Park
  • Aventura and Sunny Isles Beach
  • Ojus and Highland Lakes

ABA in a condo or apartment

You do not need a playroom. A kitchen table, a hallway, or the building's lobby and pool area can all become places to practice waiting, asking for help, and taking turns. We use the spaces your child already knows.

Out in the neighborhood

Community sessions can happen at a grocery store, a library, or a park along Biscayne Boulevard, so skills like staying close in a parking lot get practiced in real places, not just at home.

Neighborhoods between the bay and the Intracoastal

Our visits in this corner of Miami-Dade reach the older single-family streets near Pine Tree Park, the high-rise corridor along Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach, and the quieter blocks of Eastern Shores near the water. Each of these areas has a different rhythm, and we plan the visit around that rhythm rather than forcing one routine on every family.

Some buildings in Aventura and Sunny Isles Beach have visitor check-in desks, so we confirm with the family ahead of time how the front desk prefers to log a regular visitor, which keeps the first few sessions from starting late.

What an in-home visit looks like here

In a high-rise unit, a session might use the building's hallway to practice walking calmly past neighbors, the elevator to practice waiting, and the living room for seated work, all in the same visit. In a single-family home nearer Pine Tree Park, the yard or driveway often gets used the same way.

Because many families here speak more than two languages at home, including Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Portuguese alongside English, we ask early which words your child already uses for common requests, so we build on what already works instead of starting from a blank page.

Coordinating with Miami-Dade County Public Schools

Several Miami-Dade County Public Schools campuses serve this part of the county, and when a campus agrees to coordinate, a therapist can sit in during part of the school day to support a transition, a group activity, or a lunchroom routine that is hard for your child.

School sessions are planned around what the classroom teacher already has going on, not around disrupting it, and we ask for feedback from the teacher so the plan reflects what is actually happening in that classroom.

Scheduling around Biscayne Boulevard and the Intracoastal bridges

Bridges over the Intracoastal can back up at a bascule opening, and Biscayne Boulevard slows down at rush hour near the Aventura Mall area. We factor both into route planning so a visit on the barrier island side does not run late because of a bridge a mile away.

For families who move between a weekday apartment and a weekend house further inland, we ask which location to plan for on which day, so the therapist is never guessing where to knock.

Florida Medicaid and insurance

We bill Florida Medicaid plans including Humana and Simply. If you do not see your plan, call us and we will check your benefits with you. Our Medicaid & ABA guide explains how coverage works. See all accepted plans on our insurance page, or read about our work across Miami-Dade County.

Questions from North Miami Beach parents

We live in a small apartment. Is that a problem?

Not at all. ABA works with the space you have, and many sessions here happen in condos and apartments.

Do your therapists speak languages other than English?

Our team is bilingual in English and Spanish. If your family speaks another language at home, tell us on the first call and we will talk through how to include everyone.

Does Medicaid pay for ABA in North Miami Beach?

For children under 21, Florida Medicaid covers ABA when it is medically necessary, following an evaluation and prior authorization. Our Florida Medicaid and ABA guide has the details.

Can sessions happen outside the home?

Yes. With your input, we plan community outings to stores, libraries, or parks so skills carry over to real settings.

Do you serve high-rise buildings in Sunny Isles Beach or Aventura?

Yes. We visit condo and apartment buildings throughout this area and coordinate with front desks on visitor check-in so sessions start on time.

My child hears three languages at home. Can you work with that?

Yes. We start by learning which words your child already uses and in which language, then build the plan around that instead of picking one language for everyone.

Will you coordinate with my child's Miami-Dade County Public Schools teacher?

When the school agrees to coordinate, we plan sessions around the classroom routine and ask the teacher for feedback so home and school stay aligned.

What if a bridge opening makes a visit run late?

We build bridge and traffic time into the route ahead of time, and if something still runs long, we let you know rather than cut the session short without warning.
